Guidelines & Requirements
We review each application on an individual basis depending on which major you plan to pursue. You should base your high school coursework on the following guidelines to prepare for your desired major. The following guidelines are listed by the department in which your major resides:
Architecture and Art

- English: 4 years
- Math: 3 years, including algebra I and II, geometry, and pre-calculus
- Lab Science: 3 years, including physics
- Art or Creative Writing: 1 year
Business
Accounting, Computer Science, Computer Securities and Information Assurance, Engineering Management, Management
- English: 4 years
- Math: 3 years, including algebra I and II, geometry, and advanced math
- Lab Science: 2 years, including biology and chemistry
Engineering
Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

- Math: 4 years, including algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus and calculus
- Lab Science: 3 years, including chemistry and physics
